The Lloydminster Interval Home is looking for a Full Time Frontline Crisis Intervention Worker (temporary maternity leave position). The Crisis Intervention worker is responsible for assessing clients for admission, completing client intakes and discharges, referrals, advocacy, managing household duties, as well as providing telephone and in-person support to women in crisis. A flexible shift work schedule that includes some days, evenings, midnights and weekend hours is required.
We are seeking someone who takes pride in helping others and who is positive, energetic, friendly, and a quick learner who can work in a fast past environment. The individual must be a compassionate hard-worker who possesses a high level of confidence with the ability to easily establish rapports. The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make quick decisions along with strong computer skills.
A post- secondary education in a Human Services program, experience working with vulnerable populations and a solid understanding of domestic violence is required. Applicants must also have a clean driver’s abstract and a minimum of 3 year’s driving and insurance history.
