Press Release!

‘For The Interval’ Store and the Lloydminster SPCA are excited to announce their partnership to accept donations for animals in need. The ‘For The Interval’ Store is now accepting donations for the SPCA in a dedicated bin at the back of their building. The large bin is decaled with a logo indicating the dedication of that bin for donations specifically for pets.

As the Community Donation Depot we are excited to expand our community partnerships and pleased to work with our local SPCA. We recognize they have a need for specific items and we can help support them by offering more flexible hours for donation drop offs at a more central location.

“We are proud to serve as Lloydminster’s Community Donation Depot and excited to be able to accept donated goods on behalf of the Lloydminster SPCA so they can continue the good work of protecting other vulnerable members of our community – animals.” Angela Rooks-Trotzuk CEO of the Lloydminster Interval Home states, “The reality is, domestic violence and animal abuse and mistreatment frequently occur simultaneously; and, women with pets may delay leaving a dangerous environment for fear of their pets’ safety.  Programs such as the Pet Safekeeping program which our SPCA supports, helps us keep women and pets safe and we are happy to support our local SPCA in this unique and collaborative way”.

Some items that the SPCA need on a continual basis are: dry puppy and kitten food, cleaning supplies, towels and blankets, non-clumping cat litter and pet toys.

Donations are accepted 7 days/week at the ‘For the Interval’ Store donation door 8 am – 6 pm.
