is currently hiring for the following full time opportunity:
CHILD WELLNESS WORKER

Fulltime, Permanent

The successful candidate will be responsible to coordinate services and offer safe, appropriate support interventions to children and their mothers who have been impacted by family violence and are accessing services from the Lloydminster Interval Home.

The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to children coping with the effects of experiencing family violence as well as provide information and support to their mothers. This high-energy individual must be effective working in a team environment, possess a high level of confidence and the ability to develop strong rapport with children and their mothers. As well, a passion for working with children/youth and an ability to support parents is essential.

Qualifications:

A post- secondary education in a Human Services program, experience working with vulnerable populations and a solid understanding of domestic violence is required.  The individual will possess a thorough understanding of child development / behavior and the effects of violence on children.  Strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong computer skills are a must.   A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is mandatory, along with a minimum of 3 year’s driving and insurance history.
